I grew up in Southern California and began my journey with a deep desire to serve others. At an early age, I became a Police Explorer, where I first discovered my interest in public service, leadership, and protecting vulnerable communities.
I went on to study Anthropology at the University of California, Los Angeles, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. My time at UCLA helped me understand people, culture, and communities more deeply — lessons that would shape the way I approached service and connecting with others.
After college, I joined the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. I graduated at the top of Class 353 and became the first Asian American in the department’s history to be honored as the Honor Recruit. During my career, I worked in some of the largest jail systems and patrolled some of the most challenging neighborhoods in Los Angeles County. I also worked in data analysis and crime information, where I saw the importance of systems, structure, and clear decision-making in complex environments.
While serving in law enforcement, I earned a Master of Public Administration from the University of Southern California. This strengthened my understanding of leadership, public institutions, and the responsibility of building systems that serve people well.
Over time, my perspective expanded through opportunities to travel and serve around the world. I encountered communities facing deep poverty and hardship in places such as Brazil and India, and I served refugees through partner nonprofits and churches in Lebanon and Iraq. These experiences changed the direction of my life. They deepened my conviction that meaningful work should not only be successful, but also purposeful.
In 2018, I made the decision to leave the Sheriff’s Department to pursue a broader calling and make a greater impact. I spent five years in Spain, where I learned how to connect with communities, empower local leaders, and support work that could create lasting change. During this season, I also earned a Master of Theological Studies from Gateway Seminary, which helped clarify the values and purpose behind the kind of work I wanted to build.
In 2023, I returned to the United States and entered the logistics industry, gaining firsthand experience in operations, systems, communication, and business execution. During this time, I also earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, graduating with high honors. My business education helped me connect purpose with strategy, operations, growth, and long-term value creation.
TelosErgon Ventures was born from this journey.
My hope is to build and support meaningful businesses that are both profitable and purpose-driven — businesses that create value, serve people, and contribute to the common good. I believe the best organizations are built with clear purpose, strong structure, disciplined execution, and a commitment to lasting impact.
At its core, TelosErgon Ventures exists to help turn purposeful work into meaningful impact.
